Aurora mayor Steve Hogan and Colorado governor John Hickenlooper both appeared on ABC’s This Week today to talk about the aftermath of the movie theater shooting early Friday. When George Stephanopoulos asked if shooting suspect James Holmes had been involved with the community, Hogan revealed that Holmes had a few friends that he met up with to go drinking every week.
Stephanopoulos highlighted the fact that no one around Holmes had any idea that there was “something incredibly wrong with him.”Hogan said that Holmes looked “very normal” and intelligent to those around him. He explained what Holmes’ social life was like in the local community.
“He had friends, he made connections, he had people he went drinking with on Friday nights, and all the comments to date are ‘normal guy.’ Just something very seriously wrong here.”
