MSNBC Airs Audio of MH370 Families Screaming When Informed Their Relatives Are ‘Lost’
On Monday, Malaysia’s prime minister informed a gathering of reporters and relatives of those lost on Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 that the missing plane had likely gone down in the South Indian Ocean. Senior Correspondent at CNBC Eunice Yoon was in the room following the address and described a “chaotic” scene in which the cries of devastated relatives of the lost passengers were clearly audible.
“It’s been absolutely devastating for families,” Yoon said. “It’s actually getting very chaotic here in the hotel. There was one man who burst through the room, through the doors, and had to be dragged away as he was crying and sobbing.”
“The journalists were being kept away from the families, now they are all streaming out of the room,” she continued as events unfolded. “You can hear the devastation. Hold on.”
Yoon then featured the cries of the overwhelmed family members who were just informed that their loved ones were lost.
“They are, obviously, in a complete state of disbelief after finally getting this news that their families are now lost forever,” Yoon said.
