MSNBC Guest: Black Voters Were ‘Offended’ by Dems Running from Obama

One reason being thrown out today for crushing Democratic losses in the midterms was the fact that so many candidates ran from Obama. And on Al Sharpton‘s MSNBC show today, guest Tara Dowdell said that black voters in particular were “offended” by Democrats running away from the president.

This particular argument was thrown out on MSNBC earlier today, when Joy Reid said that not standing with Obama looks bad to the Democratic base. But Dowdell took it one step further, telling Sharpton, “If you talk to anyone on the street… they will tell you they were offended, and particularly black Americans were offended by the fact that these candidates ran from the president.”

She admitted that Democrats really fell short when it came to a unified message about economic successes. Meanwhile, some Democrats are actually blaming Obama himself for being a poor messenger for those successes.
