MSNBC Host Jacob Soboroff Asks Panel: Is Trump ‘A Little Chicken’ For Skipping Correspondents’ Dinner?

MSNBC host Jacob Soboroff asked a panel on Saturday night whether President Donald Trump was a “little chicken” for skipping the White House Press Correspondent’s Dinner for the second year in a row.

“Straight up, is the president a little chicken about showing up in this room?” Soboroff asked former President Barack Obama’s speechwriter, David Litt.

“I think Donald Trump does not like to be laughed at,” Litt replied. “And he’s also not very good at telling jokes to people who don’t already love him. He’s got a sense of humor but in the same way a bully giving someone a wedgie in a playground is a sense of humor.”

Soboroff continued his line of questioning to the rest of the panel, later asking if Trump is “still crying inside” after attending the event three years earlier, when comedian Seth Meyers roasted him.
