MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch Begs Trump to Act on Gun Control: ‘We Would Forgive Russia!’

“Maybe Donald Trump was sent to us for a reason,” MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch mused on Morning Joe Friday.

This thought came jut after show host Joe Scarborough unleashed a fiery sermon blasting President Donald Trump and Republicans for their failure to act on gun control in the wake of the Florida school shooting that left 17 dead and more than a dozen others wounded.

“I’m not being glib here,” Deutsch continued. “If you think about what drives him, what motivates him more than anything is to be the ultimate hero, to be the ultimate contrarian.”

Deutsche added that Trump’s base will follow him anywhere, whether he took a stand on gun control or “killed somebody on Fifth Avenue.”

Scarborough countered that Trump is a “coward” and a “frightened little man,” to which Deutsch replied: “My hope is that his ego is bigger than his cowardice.”

“He has a chance, frankly, to be brave with no downside,” Deutsch said, before invoking the investigation into the president’s campaign’s ties to Russia that has long been a hot topic on the MSNBC morning show.

“By the way, we would forgive Russia!” Deutsch exclaimed. “We would say, okay, you know what, a couple of bots jumped in there.”

“This is our children!” he said, before turning to the camera.

“Donald, in one fell swoop, dude,” Deutsch said.
