MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Blasts CNN’s Wolf Blitzer for ‘Spitting Out Republican Garbage’

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer got some pushback for saying on Wednesday’s Situation Room that President Obama should “accept the advice that a lot of Republicans are giving them” and delay Obamacare over the program’s web glitches. On Thursday, Ed Schultz called out Blitzer for turning the Situation Room into an “Opinion Room” by parroting a conservative talking point in his role as a serious newsman.

Blitzer tweeted out a clarification afterwards, but Schultz wasn’t buying it.

Schultz accused Blitzer of whitewashing what he actually said, which was, again, that Obama should accept Republican advice on the health care law.

“Any straight newscaster worth their weight knows Republicans don’t want to delay Obamacare to fix a freakin’ website! If Wolf Blitzer thinks he’s part of the best political team in television and can spit out Republican garbage like that, he can keep on pretending.”

This is the second consecutive night Schultz has used his “Pretenders” segment to go after a cable news rival, with Megyn Kelly getting the brunt of Schultz’s barbs on Wednesday.
