MSNBC’s Ed Schultz: ‘The Mainstream Media’ ‘Wants Obamacare to Fail’

MSNBC host Ed Schultz informed his audience that he believes the political press is biased against President Barack Obama’s signature legislative achievement. He said that the media “wants Obamacare to fail” and is “cherry-picking” negative facts about the law in order to drive readership or viewership.

Schultz began his segment by noting that reporters and political commentators are “doing pretty well.”

“They’re not on minimum wage,” he added. “And they’ve all got health care.”

“Most of them have never had a health care struggle in their life,” Schultz continued. “But, yet, they’re almost like promotional items on negative numbers.”

“The mainstream media, I believe, wants Obamacare to fail,” he declared. “They’re afraid to do a positive story because they’re afraid that somebody might not watch.”

“The media is just cherry-picking the bad facts that are out there, repeating them over and over again,” the MSNBC host concluded. “And, in many cases, they’re making stuff up.”
