MSNBC’s Goldie Taylor: Christie a ‘Media Creation,’ GOP Shouldn’t ‘Let Media’ Pick Their Candidate
MSNBC contributor Goldie Taylor offered the Republican Party’s voters some advice on Wednesday. She said that they “should not let the media pick their candidate for them.” She added that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is a “media creation” which is the result of his proximity to the New York City media market.
The Ed Show panel asserted that Republicans are looking hard for a 2016 alternative. “If there were ever a time for a new, fresh conservative,” host Ed Schultz observed, “this would be the time.”
“There really was always that opportunity,” Taylor agreed. “Christie is nothing more than really a big media creation.”
“We took him to the national platform really because of his proximity,” she added. “So he gets this attention for not really being a great governor in terms of economically developing his state.”
“It is really a time for Republicans to come together and pick their own candidate and not let the Beltway and New York media pick it for them,” she advised in conclusion.
