NBC’s Stephanie Ruhle says that if Ivanka Trump wants to take a stand for women, denouncing Roy Moore‘s alleged abuse of minors would be a good place to start.
Ruhle joined Ari Melber tonight to talk about Moore’s latest accuser, as well as Breitbart’s misfired effort to vindicate the aspiring Alabama senator. As Ruhle noted the comparisons between Moore’s scandal and President Trump‘s Access Hollywood controversy, she said that the White House could send a huge statement against sexual harassment if they were to emphatically say no to Moore.
Ruhle especially called out the Ivanka, saying that the First Daughter talks a good game about empowering women, but has been conspicuously silent about sexual harassment.
“She has been absolutely dead silent since Election Day. I think two weeks ago in a speech overseas, she said no one should ever accept sexual harassment, and made no comment about her father or anything else. How about now, Ivanka? You want to back women? Now is your moment.”
