MSNBC’s Ruhle Tears Up While Slamming NRA Chief: ‘Nothing is Grosser Than Going After These Kids’
Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle were horrified Thursday morning by the idea suggested by the NRA that the media enjoys mass shootings and spoke out vehemently against it.
“I hate this more than anything I do in my job,” Velshi said. “When I get a call to go to a mass shooting, it is the saddest time of my life. There are all sorts of gross things that have been suggested this morning, but to suggest that we enjoy this, that anybody enjoys this… there are dead children.”
Ruhle, who visibly teared up, said: “Nothing is grosser than going after these kids.”
“Crisis actors,” Velshi added incredulously.
“I continue to have my mind blown with how articulate and how passionate these teachers and these students are,” Ruhle said. “When I saw the kids last night in the town hall, over the last week, and teachers like Melissa, I’m just blown away with their power, their strength, their vision and their commitment.”
