MSNBC’s Wagner in NH: Even Fox Called Shaheen and Brown Still Won’t Concede

It has been hours since several news outlets called the New Hampshire Senate race for Democrat Jeanne Shaheen, but her Republican opponent Scott Brown has still not conceded. MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, who earlier in the day hounded Scott about his post-election plans, reported live from the Republican’s New Hampshire headquarters to give some insight on what his camp is thinking.

“Despite the fact that there are news broadcasts being shown in the headquarters saying that Jeanne Shaheen is the projected winner, the crowd is not accepting those results,” Wagner reported. Without mentioning CNN, she said Brown’s supporters appear to be listening to the one cable news network that had not yet called the race.

With “many, many, many other outlets” including Fox News calling the race for Shaheen, Wagner said “this seems to be a sort of willful momentum declaration more than it may perhaps be based in electoral realities.”
