During her weekly press conference today, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) agreed with Democratic colleagues that there should be “appropriate vetting” of Brett Kavanaugh.
“This is so much bigger than politics or elections,” she said. “It’s about America and who we are.”
Pelosi said there’s many women, including her own daughter, who believe President Donald Trump is trying to “break the #MeToo movement, to just say ‘we don’t care what you have to say.'”
She reiterated calls for an investigation before being asked if she agrees that Trump is “trying to break the #MeToo movement.”
“Yes, I do,” Pelosi responded. “Now he’s appointing somebody like him and I think yesterday, with the lack of temperament and lack of dignity in his presentation, that Judge Kavanaugh was doing an imitation of President Trump.”
