TV news is horrible and is prone to breeding anger and/or cynicism, so when a nice, genuine moment pops up, it’s worth taking note of. Case in point, NBC’s Lester Holt had a nice moment with his anchorman son on the air tonight.
Sometimes network anchors will do spots for local affiliates to preview that night’s broadcast. One of those local affiliates is WMAQ, NBC Chicago, and one of the anchors there just happens to be Stefan Holt, son of the NBC Nightly News anchor.
Stefan said hello to his dad on-air and they had a nice moment before Holt the elder previewed the broadcast.
