Nicolle Wallace Rips Fox’s Jesse Watters for Saying Most Americans Don’t Care About Mueller Report

Last night on MSNBC, Nicolle Wallace ripped Fox News’ Jesse Watters for saying most Americans don’t really care that much about Robert Mueller‘s report.

As the hosts of The Five processed the news of the report finally being delivered to Attorney General Bill Barr––before handing the hour over to anchor Bret Baier for breaking news coverage––Watters said Mueller “took too long” and lost his momentum before adding this:

“I honestly don’t think the rest of the country outside of the swamp and the partisans really care about the Mueller report. They care about the brackets for the NCAA, they care about spring vacation, and they care about what’s on Netflix.”

Brian Williams ran that clip on The 11th Hour and Wallace immediately responded by saying, “I learned at the very beginning of my career in politics never to treat voters like they’re stupid.”

She continued:

“I don’t know who that guy was, I don’t watch a lot of Fox News anymore, but to treat viewers and voters and citizens like they’re so stupid they don’t care about anything other than sports is really cynical, and I think it probably works for a segment of the population that Donald Trump’s already got locked and loaded.”
