United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley if offering complete defense for Donald Trump‘s speech against North Korea, including the president’s insistence on mocking Kim Jong Un with nicknames.
In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, Haley applauded Trump’s for being blunt and honest in his speech before the international community yesterday. Haley also spoke at length about how the rogue nation’s continued weapons tests are exhausting conventional diplomacy and international pressure.
Eventually, Stephanopoulos asked if it was “appropriate” for Trump to insult the leader of a nuclear power and give Kim the moniker of “Rocket Man.”
“Well I’ll tell you, George, it worked,” Haley responded. “I was talking to a president of an African country yesterday and he actually cited Rocket Man back to me…Look, This is a way of getting people to talk about him but every other international community now is referring to him as Rocket Man.”
