In a newly released ad, the National Rifle Association attacks Hillary Clinton for her handling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and urges Americans to vote for Donald Trump.
The ad, “Stop Clinton, Vote Trump,” features Mark Geist, one of the contractors who fought in the assault on the consulate. “A lot of people say they’re not going to vote this November because their candidate didn’t win. Well, I know some people who won’t be voting this year either,” Geist says, as the camera reveals he’s standing in a graveyard.
“Hillary as President? No thanks. I served in Benghazi. My friends didn’t make it,” he says. Missing from the ad is any mention of guns or gun control, the NRA’s signature issue. Instead, the ad finishes with the NRA logo besides “Vote Trump” in large letters.
According to USA Today, the NRA will spend $2 million to air the ad in battleground states like Pennsylvania, Colorado, Ohio, Nevada, Florida, and Virginia.
