Obama Says ‘Anything is Possible’ When Asked If Trump Can Win

In an exclusive interview with with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie, President Barack Obama said “anything is possible” when asked if Donald Trump could win. It seems to be a change of tune from about six months ago. Back then, when Matt Lauer asked Obama about Trump, he made a joke of it, and said he could imagine him giving the State of the Union speech on an episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Obama also slammed the Republican presidential nominee for thinking he can get away with not telling the truth.

“He is someone that likes attention, he surprised himself that he got this far,” Obama said.

“It is important for us to remember we live in democracy the way we solve problems is by everyone solving problems,”Obama added.

When asked if he is worried about a Trump presidency, he replied, “I’ve seen all kinds of crazy stuff happen.”

Obama also gave this message to Democrats about winning the election.

“So, my advice to Democrats — and I don’t have to give this advice to Hillary Clinton, because she already knows it — is you stay worried until all those those votes are cast and counted because you know, one of the dangers in an election like this is that people don’t take the challenge seriously. They stay home. And we end up getting the unexpected,” he said.
