When it comes to dealing with his Democratic colleagues, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) has perfected the art of being intentionally provocative. On Thursday, he revealed his magnum opus of trolling –- inviting Chad Henderson, the so-called Obamacare success story, to the State of the Union address in January where Stockman hopes he can introduce him to President Obama.
“We talked to him and he’s accepted,” Stockman revealed to Fox News Channel host Eric Bolling on Thursday. “We want him to get a picture with President Obama. We just think that’d be hilarious.”
Henderson claimed that he and his father had navigated the health insurance exchange website and purchased a policy just hours after it launched. Only after he shared his story with a number of media outlets was it revealed that Henderson had never purchased a policy through Healthcare.gov.
“We thought a humorous way to highlight just how bogus this health care is and how much trouble it’s having was to, you know, have a little bit of fun and invite him to the State of the Union,” Stockman told Bolling.
