A Los Angeles Fox anchor had to be taken to the hospital yesterday after she injured herself during a live segment involving a motorized scooter and TV equipment.
During Tuesday’s broadcast of Good Day LA, Lisa Breckenridge jumped on the scooter during a segment on hot holiday gifts. While the description of the scooter was read on air, Breckenridge began driving the scooter around the set.
Well, prior to her ride, it was noted that the electric vehicle could hit speeds of 25 miles per hour. It appears that Breckenridge was determined to see if she could reach maximum velocity.
Breckenridge barely avoided one large television monitor with the bike, but after hitting a barrier, she wiped out and another TV fell on her.
As others rushed to help her, she sat on the ground and exclaimed “Oh my face!” As the scooter was driven off by a co-worker, Breckenrige said she beleived she was OK.
The Fox 11 anchor posted on Instagram that she was taken to the hospital to be checked out after her “lil mishap,” giving a thumbs up with a first responder.
