Oops: Wolf Blitzer Recalls Prince’s Iconic Song ‘Purple Haze’

PicMonkey Collage - PrinceLook, breaking news is hard. You have to balance a lot of information in your head at any given time, and doesn’t always come out the way it was meant to. Wolf Biltzer had such a moment earlier today when he misnamed one of Prince’s most iconic songs as he talked about his passing earlier today.

Blitzer was speaking about the legendary performer’s legacy with Don Lemon, and the two described the universal outpouring of grief since his death was confirmed. Blitzer eventually started naming Prince’s contributions to music, but the song name he put out there was “Purple Haze.”

Purple Haze” was a song from Jimi Hendrix, whereas Prince is known for his song “Purple Rain.”

Can’t win em’ all.
