O’Reilly Attacks Montel Williams as ‘Cowardly’ for Not Coming on Show, Williams Fires Back
On night three of the Republican National Convention, there is a feud brewing between Bill O’Reilly and Montel Williams.
See, Williams was supposed to be on The Factor tonight, but then ended up not appearing. O’Reilly said on air that he left over “some gay thing,” and declared, “He will never be never be on this program again. He’s not a man of his word, he’s unprofessional… that is about as low as it gets.”
Minutes later, O’Reilly said he was “cowardly.”
Williams brought the heat on Twitter in response:
Let's just say @oreillyfactor calling me a coward is amusing. A guy who never served a day in his life…

Oh I showed up – Bill has an serious honest problem. https://t.co/QlI4mH210W

Nothing Bill O'Reilly said about me tonight was accurate. Calling me a coward when he hasn't served is ridiculous and unprofessional.

My understanding of the segment was diff than theirs, it wasn't resolved, left, bill fell apart https://t.co/Ncl5G7dBBJ

Bill calling me a coward is laughable. The guy who didn't serve but lied about his war reporting? ?? https://t.co/P5SuGEW6np

Let's get over Bill's untruth there – I showed up – he in fact saw me.
I left after a bait and switch was pulled https://t.co/S18zFJbASE— Montel Williams (@Montel_Williams) July 21, 2016

UPDATE–– Williams took to Periscope to fire back. And, um, wow:
“The word coward is usually used on people who have done most of the things that you’ve done, like embellishing lies about your credentials as a journalist, like the fact that your own daughter in a testimony in a court case… said that you dragged your ex-wife down a flight of stairs. You wanna talk about coward, homeboy?… We know who the coward is.”
