Bill O’Reilly went after the “grievance industry” and “race hustlers” Monday night for promoting the idea of an unequal and unfair America where unless you’re a rich, white, Republican male, you are being oppressed or discriminated against in some fashion. O’Reilly blamed the “politically correct national media” for propping up these grievances to the point where “ideological fanatics” are given power politically and on television.
O’Reilly cited two examples of college students showing over-the-top anti-authority tendencies, the latter being students who occupied the office of the Dartmouth president because they believed the university is discriminating against minorities. O’Reilly called these students “fringe people” with “largely absurd” grievances who believe “if you’re not a rich white guy, chances are you are the victim of discrimination.”
He mocked what he deemed an obsession over equality on the left, comparing it to a “Frankenstein’s monster” situation.
