Last week, both CNN’s Don Lemon and The View co-host Raven-Symoné made comments about the Spring Valley deputy who grabbed a student and flipped her desk that people didn’t like. Lemon said he wanted to wait for more information to come out before making any judgments, while Raven said there’s an issue of students just not listening to the rules in school.
Both of them made it clear they weren’t condoning the deputy’s actions, but people immediately started petitions on Change.org to demand both of them be fired. As of this posting, over 36,000 people want Lemon fired and over 131,000 want Raven fired.
Bill O’Reilly got pretty incensed tonight and defended both of them from what he deemed a liberal attack to beat down dissent. Juan Williams and Laura Ingraham agreed, with Ingraham saying there’s just “no tolerance” for differing views on the left.
O’Reilly declared, “Freedom of speech in this country is under attack.”
He even went so far as to say “that is the beginning of a totalitarian society.”
