O’Reilly: Cheney Overstates How Bad Obama Is; But Prez ‘Had Nothing to Do’ with Killing bin Laden
According to Bill O’Reilly, former Vice President Dick Cheney may have been a bit hyperbolic in stating that Barack Obama is among the worst presidents.
“I look at Barack Obama and I see the worst president in my lifetime,” Cheney told Playboy (“Thank God there’s no pictorial,” O’Reilly joked) in a widely-publicized interview. During tonight’s O’Reilly Factor, the Fox host took issue with that characterization, telling his guests that
“According to the former vice president, President Obama is worse than Warren Harding, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, and Franklin Pierce combined,” O’Reilly said. “I think it might just be a little bit of an overstatement based on ideology.”
However, the Fox host said, “there is not one accomplishment of President Obama’s foreign policy.”
When Democratic strategist Jessica Ehrlich pointed to the killing of Osama bin Laden, the Fox host replied that Obama had “nothing to do with that,” and that the May 2, 2011, raid on the terrorist leader’s Pakistani compound was the result of “U.S. intel and the Navy SEALS saying ‘Take him out.'”
