Bill O’Reilly tonight tore into the Black Lives Matter movement by declaring that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would never have participated in any of their marches.
O’Reilly said that U.S. law enforcement is unfairly “under siege” because there is no “designed campaign of prejudice” from the police, as many activists claim.
He went after Black Lives Matter for encouraging violence and was very perplexed by how President Obama has defended them. O’Reilly said, “Well-meaning activists do not associate themselves with a group that often commits violent acts and encourages violence.”
And that’s why, he concluded, “Dr. King would not participate in a Black Lives Matter protest.”
In the follow-up discussion with Charles Krauthammer, O’Reilly noted that Dr. King strongly “repudiated” the more radical activists of his time.
