Bill O’Reilly tonight said he didn’t quite understand why Hillary Clinton attended a roundtable today on Muslim issues when discrimination against Muslims isn’t a big deal in the United States.
Clinton spoke out strongly about Muslim discrimination as part of her way to politically rebut rhetoric from her GOP rivals. O’Reilly said, “I think that, in America, Muslims are treated pretty well. I mean, we don’t have any big Muslim problems here.”
He believes that authorities should be “vigilant,” but at the same time wasn’t quite on board with Ted Cruz‘s talk about police “swarming into Muslim neighborhoods” for patrols.
O’Reilly also criticized Bill de Blasio for “foolishly” abandoning the “very effective” program that monitored Muslim neighborhoods. (For the record, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said it was not effective.)
