O’Reilly led off the segment noting that the decision hasn’t given President Obama a significant bump in the polls, which Williams said made sense given that the economy is primary concern. The three then discussed some polling surrounding support for the health care legislation (which O’Reilly said has been fairly split) and reaction to the Supreme Court decision.
That led O’Reilly to Boehner and the GOP’s health care vision — or lack thereof. Ham wasn’t quite buying it, noting that Boehner mentioned certain specifics (regarding malpractice and increased insurance competition) in the clip O’Reilly played previously. O’Reilly said the party needs to address voters
“They have to be better,” O’Reilly said, eliciting the emphatic, repeated “Thank you!” from Williams. But have no fear, fellow viewers, the two promptly returned to disagreement upon O’Reilly’s characterization of the ACA as a “power grab.”
