O’Reilly Tells Trump to Quit Attacks on Megyn Kelly, Praises Both as ‘Friends’
Bill O’Reilly ended his show tonight with a short piece of commentary on the Donald Trump–Megyn Kelly feud, basically telling Trump to knock it off.
Trump got pissed at Kelly for asking him tough questions at the Fox debate and when Kelly returned from vacation last night, he went on a tweeting spree and retweeted someone who called Kelly a bimbo. Fox didn’t take that lying down.
Tonight O’Reilly said he considers both Kelly and Trump to be “friends,” but said it’s time for Trump to stop tweeting “not-nice things” about Kelly.
He credited the big boss Roger Ailes for standing up for Kelly and recalled all the times Ailes defended him “against unfair assaults by vicious media people.”
O’Reilly did end up praising both of them, saying both Kelly and Trump “bring things to America that are worthy and positive,” but told Trump to “cease.”
