O’Reilly: Would Rather Have Trump’s ‘Straight Talk’ than President Hillary
After sitting down for a 10-minute conversation with Donald Trump Tuesday night, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly came away impressed. And while he made clear that he never makes explicit endorsements, the host indicated that he would vote for Trump over Hillary Clinton.
“If you had a choice, Powers, between a Donald Trump type guy and a Hillary Clinton type politician, you are telling me that you would pull the lever for Mrs. Clinton right now?” O’Reilly asked his guest Kirsten Powers.
“Are you telling me you wouldn’t?” she replied. “Are you kidding me?”
“I never endorse anybody,” O’Reilly said. “But I will tell you what. I would rather have the straight talk of Donald Trump than the obfuscation of Hillary Clinton any day, anytime.” While he claimed Trump is now being upfront about his plans to lead, O’Reilly claimed that Clinton’s proposals are “impossible.”
Powers balked at that suggestion, pointing out that Trump’s plan to force the Mexicans to pay to build a wall along the border is not exactly “possible” and asking, “Why are you cutting him so much slack?”
