As far as Bill O’Reilly is concerned, no one is going to come out of this government shutdown looking good. President Obama and the Republican party are both suffering from record low approval numbers, and O’Reilly warned the GOP that if it does not get its act together, it will most assuredly lose in both 2014 and 2016.
O’Reilly first brought up the “outrageous scandal” over the lack of military benefits during the shutdown, calling it “one of the most shameful expositions I’ve ever seen” and a “huge embarrassment” that Obama could have easily fixed with an executive order.
O’Reilly went after the Obama administration for “stonewalling” on this issue, before shifting to the possible deal that may address the debt ceiling for the time being. O’Reilly brought up the low poll numbers for both sides, saying he “received a lot of angry mail” for predicting the GOP would be damaged weeks ago.
O’Reilly said the poll is “big trouble” for the Republicans and issued this dire warning for them.
“Democrats will win next year’s elections and the presidency of 2016 if the Republican party does not begin to solve problems.”
