Outnumbered Pummels Cohen Over His Secret Trump Tape: I Wouldn’t Hire Him ‘If I Were Rotting in a Turkish Prison’
The panel on Outnumbered savaged Michael Cohen on Friday in light of the news that he secretly taped Donald Trump talk about paying off a Playboy model he had an affair with before the 2016 election.
The ladies poured through the news on Friday with Chris Bedford, today’s #OneLuckyGuy, though they wondered whether people will really be surprised to learn that the president talked about paying hush money to an old mistress, even if its not just Stormy Daniels. Kennedy was more exasperated by Cohen’s actions than the revelation, though she did wonder if Cohen might’ve taken his recording as his own personal “insurance policy.”
“If you can’t trust your cleaner, who can you trust?” she asked to laughs from her co-hosts.
As Harris Faulkner noted Cohen’s ongoing legal troubles, she noted that the tape’s existence raises questions about the Trump campaign’s previous denials of any payments to Karen McDougal. When this led a debate about the conflicting stories of Cohen’s hush money payments, Bedford interjected to ask, “Who here would actually hire Michael Avenatti or Michael Cohen after the last three months?”
Kennedy’s answer: “If I was rotting in a Turkish prison… and perhaps had hours to live, I’d still be going through the rolodex.”
