Parkland Student Makes Call for Action at iHeartRadio Awards: We’re Tired of Politicians ‘Doing Nothing’

Alex Moscou, one of the student survivors of the Parkland shooting, spoke briefly during last night’s iHeartRadio Music Awards with a call for action.

Big Sean introduced Moscou, who was wearing a March for Our Lives shirt. Moscou said this:

“On February 14th, a gunman armed with a legally-purchased semi-automatic rifle murdered 17 people at my high school, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, in Parkland, Florida. We’re tired of hearing politicians send their thoughts and prayers for us and doing nothing to make the necessary changes to prevent this tragedy from happening again.”

And if they won’t, he added, “we’re going to be too loud for them to ignore.”

He brought up the planned marches for March 24th in D.C. and in other cities across the country.
