Paul Walker Jokes Will Be Cut from Bieber Roast

Comedy Central announced today that a handful of jokes about deceased Fast and Furious star Paul Walker will be edited out of the broadcast of Justin Bieber‘s recent roast.

Walker, who died in a car accident in 2013, starred in the film franchise along with rapper Ludacris, who was present at the roast when the jokes were made.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, they weren’t good:

Among the jokes, comedian Jeff Ross connected Bieber’s driving skills to those of Walker’s, cracking, “‘Move bitch, get out of the way!’ is what Paul Walker should’ve told that tree. Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?”

A visibly offended Ludacris even motioned to cut at one point during the taping.

“Roasts often push the limits of good taste and we give the participants full rein to try things knowing we have the edit to shape the show,” a spokesman told THR. “Sometimes the line is discovered by crossing it. The Paul Walker references will not be in the telecast.”

“I was so in the moment, I don’t know what jokes hit,” Ross later told THR.
