Pauly Shore’s Secret to Impersonating Stephen Miller? ‘Pretty Much One Jew-Face to The Other’
Pauly Shore appeared on CNN today in order to talk about his acclaimed impersonation of fiery White House advisor, Stephen Miller.
Shore played Miller last week in a Funny or Die sketch that lampooned his heated confrontation with CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta. In the skit, Miller tells Acosta that the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of America’s “beautiful babes,” and the monument’s history is best reflected by its appearances in movies like Cloverfield, Ghostbusters and Planet of the Apes.
Shore spoke to Brooke Baldwin about the video, and where he talked about how he first got involved with Funny or Die because people told him that he looked like Anthony Weiner. People also told Shore that he looked like Miller, and that was how he was recruited for the role.
When asked how he got into character, Shore made Baldwin crack up by saying “it’s pretty much one Jew-face to the other Jew-face”:
“I can say that, I’m Jewish, it’s okay. Jew-faces – we have a certain look. He’s got a Jew-face, I’ve got a Jew-face, we put them together.”
Baldwin awkwardly moved on by asking about the video’s creation and how Shore wants to depict fitness guru Richard Simmons next.
Miller might be getting a promotion in the White House communications department, and if that’s the case, Shore says he’ll do his impression again if Funny or Die comes calling.
