Pence Speaks on Synagogue Shooting: ‘No Place in America for Violence or Anti-Semitism’
Vice President Mike Pence began a campaign speech in Las Vegas this afternoon with comments on the horrific shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
The most recent reports say at least eight people were killed and six were injured, four of them police officers.
“Our hearts break for the fallen, their families, the injured,” he said. “Facts are still coming in, but we commend these courageous law enforcement officers for their swift response.”
“As Las Vegas knows all too well, what happened in Pittsburgh today was not just criminal. It was evil. An attack on innocent Americans and an assault on our freedom of religion. There is no place in America for violence or anti-Semitism, and this evil must end.”
