Peter King Defends Muslim Surveillance: You Don’t Go Looking for the KKK in Harlem
In the wake of the attack in Nice, Congressman Peter King continued to make his long-standing push for more surveillance of Muslim communities.
Fox News’ Shannon Bream asked King how such surveillance can be done and not be discriminatory. King said, “It’s not discriminatory if you know the threat is coming from the Muslim community.”
“If you’re looking for the Ku Klux Klan,” he said, “you don’t go to Harlem… When they were looking for the mafia, they went into the Italian-American community.”
Months ago King was saying that Muslims “should want” their mosques surveilled for their own protection.
