comScore POLL: Who Should Replace Jon Stewart on The Daily Show?

POLL: Which Current Daily Show Correspondent Could Possibly Fill Stewart’s Shoes?

With Jon Stewart set to retire as host of The Daily Show later this year, it’s never too early to speculate about who on Earth Comedy Central is going to get to replace him. With such huge shoes to fill, it seems quite likely that they will go way outside the box and hire an unexpectedly big name (way too many people on Twitter are jokingly suggesting Brian Williams).

At the same time, we know Stewart likes to promote from within and with John Oliver crushing it on HBO and Larry Wilmore easing into the Colbert Report slot, the options for bringing up a member of the “Best F#@king News Team Ever” seem pretty slim.

For these purposes, we are taking off the table former correspondents who no longer have an association with the show like Wyatt Cenac and Rob Riggle. But who knows? Maybe Steve Carell wants to stop being an Oscar-nominated movie star and return to his roots. And if they want to go in a different direction, Egypt’s Bassem Youssef seemed awfully comfortable on the Daily Show set last night.

Take a look at the names of current correspondents (and contributors) below and let us know who you think would be the best pick to replace Stewart. And remember, you can only vote once.
