Rachel Maddow Hilariously Impersonates Irish Setter On The Daily Show
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow stopped by The Daily Show to promote her new book Drift: The Unmooring Of The American Military. It covers a serious subject, for sure, but little did Jon Stewart know she came wielding the performance of a lifetime — a hilarious impersonation of a a dog scurrying on its hind legs.
Maddow explained to Stewart how it was Congress’s responsibility to take back national security responsibilities from the executive branch.
“Can Congress reign that back in?” Stewart asked.
“I think we can’t ever expect presidents to give back power they already have. Congress actually has to take it. And after Vietnam, Congress actually got up on its hind legs and asserted its constitutional prerogative to do it,” Maddow said.
Maddow’s analogy cracked up Stewart
“Congress is a setter?” Stewart asked. “Congress is some type of labrador?”
“Ahhhhhhkkkk!” Maddow shrieked, wildly flapping her arms around.
“It’s very unbalanced, but impressive,” she quipped.
“How ’bout a Scooby Snack?” Stewart joked.
