Rachel Maddow Tears Into Rand Paul’s ‘Immaturity’ Over Plagiarism Charges

Rachel Maddow has relentlessly hammered Rand Paul for plagiarizing portions of speeches and writings directly from other sources, including Wikipedia. And on Monday night, Maddow fired back at the “immaturity” of Paul for deflecting criticism by talking of duels.

Maddow was amazed that Paul took the repeated reports he directly plagiarized lines from Wikipedia and other sources as an “insult” and so he is being “unfairly targeted” by political enemies.

She said Paul is “skirting the line between shame and anger on this” by deferring from his own guilt and attacking others, calling it a “symptom of immaturity.”

And as for the challenge to a duel, Maddow politely declined to engage in a gun battle, knife fight, or just some good ol’ fisticuffs with a sitting U.S. senator.
