Rep. John Sullivan Compares Obama’s Keystone Pipeline Plans To Al Gore’s Famous Internet Comment

On Thursday morning’s Fox & Friends, Oklahoma Rep. John Sullivan(R) shared his criticism regarding President Obama’s anticipated plans for the Keystone pipeline.

The President, as you may be aware, yesterday embarked on a two-day, four-state tour on energy. He’s expected to soon announce plans to fast track the southern portion of the Keystone Pipeline project, which would extend from Cushing, Oklahoma to the Gulf of Mexico.

“It’s very much like what Al Gore did,” said Sullivan of the President’s plans. “Claimed he invented the internet — he didn’t. The President’s going to be standing at Cushing, Oklahoma, the intersection of the pipeline of the world and say that he wants to approve the southern part of the Keystone pipeline from Cushing to the Gulf. The problem with that is we don’t need any presidential approval for that. It doesn’t cross any international lines.”

He also referred to the President’s actions as a “con job” and a mere “photo opp.”
