Republican Congressman Sean Duffy responded to “naysayers” from the right who are hesitant to get on board with the American Health Care Act.
He told Fox News’ Sandra Smith that Republicans can come forward with their fixes, but in the end, it comes down to whether Republicans will go with Trump or with Pelosi/Obama.
Duffy called the bill “the last best choice to take power away from Washington” on health care.
Smith brought up criticisms from Republicans like Tom Cotton––who earlier rejected the binary choice laid out by Duffy and others––to focus more on getting it right than getting it out fast, asking Duffy if he liked everything in the bill.
Duffy pointed to a few things he felt could be improved, but said, “You can’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good. This is our one shot to get health care done… This is the best plan that we’re gonna get to get rid of Obamacare.”
