Reporter Calls Out McCarthy For Condemning Democrat’s Profanity: Trump Called Someone ‘Horseface’
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) condemned remarks made by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), in which she referred to President Donald Trump as a “motherfucker” while calling for his impeachment.
McCarthy, on Friday, told reporters today that what Tlaib said was “wrong.”
“Do you know what happened in the last Congress when Republicans were in the majority? You know what our freshman class did?” McCarthy asked. “They put a resolution together to actually work with one another, to not use foul language. They got almost every single freshman to sign onto it — that’s the difference with this new Congress and it’s wrong.”
Cheddar reporter J.D. Durkin then challenged McCarthy, asking the lawmaker about Trump’s “horseface” insult used against Stormy Daniels.
“The president, not too long ago, referred to a woman as ‘horse face,’” he pointed out. “Who within your caucus called out the president for that type of language?”
“I think a lot of them did,” McCarthy claimed, but did not offer any names.
NEW — Moments ago I asked Kevin McCarthy on Capitol Hill which Republicans called out President Trump last year for calling a woman horseface.
“I think a lot of them did.”
