Ret. Gen. Barry McCaffrey Tears Into Trump: Congress Must Provide Oversight of This ‘Rogue Presidency’

Retired General and MSNBC military analyst Barry McCaffrey was pretty blunt today in his assessment of the chaos surrounding Donald Trump‘s presidency this week.

He told Nicolle Wallace Trump clearly doesn’t have the capacity for office and that he’s “relying on his daughter and his son-in-law, both with no experience in national security or foreign policy” to make vital decisions.

“We’re in a bizarre situation. The world turned upside down,” he said. “Congress… [will] have to fulfill their constitutional responsibilities and step in and provide oversight over what increasingly, to be blunt, looks like a rogue presidency acting outside the bounds of American values.”

“Wow,” Wallace responded. “Do you see this moment in Trump’s presidency a president who is a rogue president?”

“I do,” he responded.
