Seahawks’ Richard Sherman’s Fiery Post-Game Rant to Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews
Sunday evening’s NFC championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks got a little bit tense, to say the least. But that tension didn’t come to a head until after the Seahawks’ fourth-quarter surge and subsequent victory had been secured.
In a post-game interview with Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews, Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman went on an incredibly impassioned rant against 49s wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who had come to blows with Sherman several times during the game.
“I’m the best corner in the game!” Sherman shouted at Andrews. “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you’re going to get. Don’t you ever talk about me. Don’t you open your mouth about the best, or I’ll shut it for you real quick. Don’t you ever talk about me!”
A stunned Andrews handled the cornerback in a calm manner: “So who’s talking about you?”
“Crabtree!” he shouted back. “Don’t you open your mouth about the best or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick.”
For context: Crabtree had given a few interviews earlier this week in which he questioned whether Sherman is among the best cornerbacks in the game. The pair had exchanged words multiple times throughout the actual game.
