RNC Running Anti-Obamacare Ad During The Daily Show

If you never thought you would hear the phrases “Republican National Committee” and “Comedy Central” in the same sentence, brace yourselves, because the RNC announced on Tuesday that they will be running an anti-Obamacare ad during tonight’s Daily Show in the Washington, D.C. market.

The ad, “Down,” is a parody of the Mac vs. PC ads that used to air (and featured Daily Show correspondent/“deranged millionaire” John Hodgman) and is intended by the RNC to “educate young Americans on Obamacare.”

And while it would be odd in most circumstances for the Republican party to think of The Daily Show as friendly territory, Jon Stewart has come down hard in the past few weeks on the less-than-ideal (to put it lightly) Obamacare rollout.

And then, of course, there’s Stewart’s now-infamous interview with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, earning him praise from all over the conservative media.
