Roger Ailes Awarded for Support of Wounded Warriors and Military

In honor of his network’s “dedicated support for Wounded Warriors and the military,” Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes received an award Monday evening from Comfort for America’s Uniformed Services (CAUSE).

Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell presented the award at the CAUSE Gala in Washington, D.C., an annual fundraising dinner for Wounded Warriors. This was the 10th annual edition of the veterans-honoring ceremony.

In presenting the award, Caldwell stated that the prize was given to Ailes and Fox “in recognition of their outstanding support and steadfast reporting of the United States Military and its mission, our wounded men and women in uniform, our veterans, and their continued support of CAUSE.”

Fox’s national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin accepted the award on Ailes’ behalf, telling the crowd, “Roger Ailes would never leave a battle buddy behind” while recalling the Fox chief’s support for her military reporting and struggles with cancer.
