Ron Paul’s RNC Introduction Video An Epic Display, Features Glowing Praise From GOP

Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) may not be speaking to the Republican National Convention this cycle, but his introduction video will leave a lasting impression. The video featured conservatives praising Paul, including South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell , Utah Sen. Mike Lee and, Paul’s son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

“Dedication. Character. Faith and conviction. Sometimes that lonely path forward paves the way forward for millions,” said the announcer. “Ron Paul. 22 years in Congress. He’s never voted for a tax increase. Never voted for a debt ceiling increase. Never wavered. Never backed down.”

“I was surprised I ever won because I thought this message would not go well with the people,” said Paul in the video.

“When I first got to the House, I thought Ron Paul was nuts,” said DeMint. “But more and more I found myself voting with him.

“Ron Paul is the only one I know who made a difference by making a point,” said McConnell.

Rand Paul said that his father does not even receive visits from Capitol Hill lobbyists because “they know he cannot be bought.”

“Ron Paul was tea party before there was a tea party,” said DeMint.

“Whether people want to admit it or not, Ron Paul changed the conversation,” McConnell concluded.
