Ronan Farrow Has No Idea Who Guest Is, Asks Her to Introduce Herself On-Air

TV is hard. Or so it is for Ronan Farrow, who on Friday flubbed a segment opening by asking a guest to introduce herself because apparently he wasn’t provided with such information by producers.

“So both sides say they are ready to compromise and get to work for the American people, but will that last?” his remarks began, before turning to his guests:

I want to bring in Sarah and Jared. Sarah is, uh — would you — I’m sorry, Sarah, do you want to introduce yourself to the audience?

Oof. That “Sarah” was Republican spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores, who obliged by introducing herself with laughter and a little hint of snark: “I’m Sarah Isgur Flores. I’m the Deputy Communications Director at Republican National Committee. Thanks for having me [laughter].”

“And I’m Jared,” the in-studio guest, former VP Biden advisor Jared Bernstein, joked.

Farrow claimed he was unaware of Flores’ credentials because she was a “last-minute addition” to the show.
