Rush Limbaugh is sitting down for a rare, hour-long interview with Greta Van Susteren on Fox’s On The Record tonight and in this preview clip the radio host explains his theory on why President Obama actually “likes” the “phony scandals” he recently decried.
According to Limbaugh, the scandals Obama referred to in his recent speech “aren’t distractions–they’re real.” In reality, Limbaugh believes the president “likes” the scandals “because they detract from the absolute reality of what has happened to this country as a result of his policies.”
Also in the preview clip, Limbaugh shares his theory on how Obama has “positioned himself as an outsider.” That explains the “constant campaigning,” Limbaugh said, “so he doesn’t appear to be governing, so he doesn’t appear to be part of Washington.” He characterized the president’s Republican opposition on issues like job creation and health care reform as nothing more than a “mysterious, powerful bunch of forces” that may or may not exist.
Limbaugh’s Fox News appearance just happens to come very close to the deadline for the Cumulus Media negotiations that could determine which radio stations continue to broadcast his daily program.
