Sanders Nevada Delegate Speaks Out: Claims of Violence ‘Grossly Exaggerated’
A Bernie Sanders Nevada delegate spoke out on MSNBC tonight about reports of violence last weekend that led to condemnation of Sanders from the Nevada Democratic party.
After an awkward moment where she called out another panelist, Angie Morelli told Rachel Maddow at the “Hillary did not win, Trump did” at the convention.
She said that Sanders delegates got agitated because they had “little access to food,” were in a confined space, and there were bars right outside, so naturally there were “high emotions.”
The reports of violence, Morelli insisted, were “grossly exaggerated.” She said that at one point, a Clinton supporter shoved her.
She insisted that their voices are not being heard and “this is the people versus the establishment,” and it’s genuinely frustrating for them to be shut out.
